Due to logistical problems in delivering so many fresh turkeys in recent years (4 years of hampers and every turkey got there, eventually!) we won’t be selling turkeys online this year either as part of a hamper or separately.
We would like to thank people for buying their turkeys off us over the past few years and also those who bought hampers. Delivery is the only variable in the scenario and is too big a risk to take with your Christmas dinner.
Our online shop will remain open until December 15th where you can but our full range meats and hams which will be delivered 16-20th December
For those of you who are able to collect turkeys in store we are selling East Ferry Farm free range turkeys and geese which can be ordered in person by phone or email (assure you get acknowledgement)
Spicing up your Christmas
Try our award winning Black Pudding or our award winning Guinness and Cider Spiced Beef or taste the difference with a delicious Free Range Ham.
Tim McCarthy took part in the Theatre of food and took the opportunity to question why we have so much poor quality imported food in our supermarket aisles when we live on an Isle which is full of incredible food producers. Also on stage were Paul Flynn, John McKenna, Ross Lewis whose new book is our An Irish Food Story and which we are proud to say features McCarthy’s, and Derry Clarke
Special offer from McCarthys online butchers
Our marinaded sirloin roast is reduced from 14.99 per kg to 13.99 per kg
The ideal romantic dinner for two. This succulent roast is easy to cook and will definitely impress. This tender cut is taken from the top of the sirloin and is marinaded in our own home-made red wine marinade.
Bia Bofinne, A Taste of Inishbofin: 4th – 6th October
Tim had a great time in Inishbofin, he worked hard though, he butchered twenty fine Inishbofin lambs in a single day for sale at the market, and performed a public demonstration of the production of lamb sausages, chops, joints, burgers – a complete nose to tail butchery demonstration.
Tim was pleased to meet JP McMahon of the Aniar Restaurant in Galway at the event.
